Remington

August 17, 2010 — September 6, 2024

Remington was born on August 17, 2010.  He had a shy soft hearted personality for a Dachshund and he has received many compliments on how well behaved he is.  Even the Veterinary doctors and staff were amazed how patient he was.

Remi shared his forever home with his parents and his Dachshund fur sister and best friend, Abby.  They had a very special bond until her death in 2022.  As long as Remington let Abby be the boss and be first with everything it went well.

Remington loved to go along everywhere and made sure we had a bone treat and water along to sit in the back seat with Mom and went through the same ritual every time we would go in the vehicles.. First: ask for his bone, Second: eat his bone, Third: ask for a drink, Fourth: drink the water!!! Then he is ready to settle down and waits to see where he ends up.  So comical!!

It was so fun to watch as he ran with the bigger and taller fur Cousins.  His little legs going as fast as they can to keep up with them.  We named him a big hunting name “Remington” so people would think he was big and strong!!!

Remi enjoyed sitting in the sun, watching TV in daddy’s lap, being the watch dog of the living room picture window, camping, riding the golf cart with Mom and Dad.  He also looked forward to hi special spa day at Brandy’s.  He loved to go for walks and in his later years he rode in his doggy buggy so he could still enjoy the outdoors.  He also enjoyed wintering in Texas.

Remington passed away in the loving arms of his parents on Friday September 6, 2024 at the age of 14.  He had health problems for the past year.

Remington knew he was treasured and loved by us unconditionally and Remi treasured and loved unconditionally back.  He brought us so much joy and we are bitter sweetly  heartbroken.  He did a great job while sick, never complained when in pain or couldn’t walk or run...

This is now our sad wish to give him what he needs...Free of pain and sickness and to cross the Rainbow Bridge to run and play and to united with his best friend Abby.

Goodbye, “Best Boy There Ever Was”!!!!
